1. Create an association as soon as possible
Unity is strength. association is essential for mobilizing the population, launching petitions and, if necessary, taking legal action. It should be established without delay, because by the time you hear about a wind project, it is usually already well developed. The landowners gave their consent, the municipality gave the green light for the operation. So not a minute to waste. “The legislation, well-crafted by wind developers, is such that an association is only legitimate if it is formed before the developer submits a permit application.” warns the Sustainable Environment Federation (FED), which has been fighting against the spread of wind turbines in France for many years, seeing the danger in it; “The industrialization of our campaigns has been carried out with forceps, without energy efficiency and extravagant financial costs for the national community”.
