After persistent pursuit, the National Police succeeded in apprehending the two criminals who stole the caster in the Lima area. Villa Maria del Triumfo (VMT)early today, Friday.
The perpetrators were identified as Dixon Elias Vera Ramirez (23), a.k.a. “Chin Chin”, an ethnic Peruvian; And Diego Andres Vizcaya Hernandez, pseudonym “Meteoro”, citizen of Venezuela.
They introduced themselves as passengers and, threatening the driver and the collector of the unit servicing the Lurin-Miraflores route with firearms, seized the car.
“They boarded as passengers on the Benavides Bridge. Arriving at TDC, when all the passengers had already left, they took the car,” one of the witnesses said.
After the criminals took over the premises, the drivers of other vehicles reported this to the police, who tried to stop the attackers. However, the perpetrators fled. In the middle of the shots, they were finally captured in the 7th block of the Avenida Guardia Civil in San Borgia.
