A woman and her son have been missing since Tuesday night after they fell into rimak river after the collapse of his house, which was located on the edge of a cliff in San Martin de Porres, due to the destruction of the foundation as a result of the flood.
The missing were identified as Maria Reyes Lizarraga 36 years old and her son, Ruben Flores Reyes of 18 people who were in their home located in the human settlement of Rio Habladore, near the 30th block of Morales Duarez Avenue.
According to neighbors, the mother was in the kitchen of her house when at about 21:00 on Tuesday, part of the structure broke down and fell 10 meters into the river.
Neighbors called on the district authorities and the National Civil Defense Institute (Indeci) to help evacuate people living in the area in buildings with the same vulnerability conditions.
