Comas: PNP commander hit by bullet after thwarting hijacking of his truck

The commander of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) was shot dead this Thursday after preventing his truck from being stolen in the Villa Hyper urbanization in Comas.

The victim, identified as Domingo Salazar Durán (48), was taken to a PNP hospital after being shot in the head and another in the abdomen.

According to neighbors, the commander PNP He is not a local resident and came to the area to visit his daughters’ dance teacher.

“We want more security”

A neighbor named Carlos Lozano noted that this was the first time an event of this magnitude had been recorded in the area and asked the authorities to provide more security.
