Early Thursday morning, at the intersection of José Carlos Mariategui and Salvador Allende Avenues in the Villa Maria del Triunfo district, a man was riddled with eight bullets.

The neighbors told RPP news What victim he was a bus assembler and they expressed their fear of announcing reprisals as the murder would be related to the collection of quotas.

The incident occurred when a man was in the Mibanco area, calling passengers to his car, at that moment two unidentified men drove up on a linear motorcycle, shot at him and disappeared towards the main avenue.

According to residents, it was the people who were in this place who transferred the victim to the Maria Auxiliadora hospital in San Juan de Miraflores for treatment. However, the authorities indicate that the death of a man was pronounced on the spot, whose identity has not yet been established.

“This is a harsh (area), after two hours people can no longer walk, you have to be careful. Sometimes you take a taxi to get back home (…) there are always buses stopping here that leave from Mariatega towards Lomas,” said a neighbor concerned about the level of insecurity in the area.
