A group of protesters attacked national police officers who formed a cordon at the intersection of Abancay and Nicolás de Pierola avenues in Cercado de Lima, on a new day of protests against the government Dina Boluarte.
The demonstrators who came out of Avenue Miguel Grau and when they came to the aforesaid crossroads, they began to throw bottles and stones at the cordon of policemen which had been set up to keep these people out of Congress.
At present, the entrance to Abankay Avenue in this place is blocked by security bars in all its lanes. Protestants sought to remove these bars; however, police officers responded with tear gas to disperse them.

He also indicated that the troops stationed in the area are in control of the situation and will not allow them to continue their offensive on Abankay Avenue to damage public facilities such as Congress and public service.
“We are warning and seeing through the images being circulated that this is a somewhat small group of protesters whose aggressive and hostile attitude is already being repeated in the presence of the National Police,” he said.
“We are not going to allow and have not allowed them to take places so that they can make these excesses, they are quickly controlled, reduced and in many cases delayed,” he added.
