Cercado de Lima: Demonstrators protest against government and Congress

This Thursday afternoon, a group of protesters march through the Cercado de Lima to protest against the government and congress, and they arrived to Abankay Avenue where they met a police contingent who blocked access to Parliament.

These people have previously concentrated on Two May Square and began their journey along Avenida Nicolás de Pierola in the direction San Martin Plazaaccompanied by police officers.

There are social groups among the protesters and some people wore the emblems of political parties such as New Peru, Free Peru and Juntos por el Peru.

The demonstration marched along the Paseo de la República towards the 28th of July Avenue, but they found a strong police contingent and lined the Miguel Grau Square with new rants against the government and Congress.
