YouTube showed what content, creators and music videos were the most popular in 2022. Platform Google divided all the material into five large ratings, where videos of entertaining situations, football, games, all kinds of vlogs and television series that formed trends throughout the year stand out. In terms of music videos, trap and reggaeton were the genres most in demand.
“The most popular trends over the past year are a true reflection of people’s search for new forms of entertainment, where video has been one of the main protagonists”said Carla Agisculture and trends manager YouTube for Canada and Latin America.
The company said that original content has gained more relevance in 2022, especially that created by Hispanic users. “In particular, local creators YouTube had a great year in relation to their local audience: according to a study conducted by ipsos in Peru, 88% of Peruvian viewers think YouTube content tells a good story.”the spokeswoman said.
The firm’s research also shows that 82% of people believe that in YouTube there is unique content that cannot be found on any other platform and 98% of viewers say they can find good content on this platform.
