Corning has announced a new Gorilla Glass Victoria 2new generation glass, which will soon be present in many mobile phones.
This innovation promises an important detail for everyday use: protection of equipment from drops from a height of up to 1 meter onto cement or concrete.
maximum protection

A height meter is the average size of a person’s waist and pocket.
But if we are not talking about concrete, then the screen can withstand falls from a height of up to 2 meters, as well as on asphalt. And if you’re clumsy, then 20 1-meter falls in a row.
“Manufacturers say 30% of phones typically fall on concrete,” said a Corning executive. edge.
they will arrive soon
Gorilla Glass Victoria 2 It may appear in the same year 2023 on high-end mobile phones, although this has not yet been confirmed by any brand or team.
The glass is currently still being tested, so it will be a matter of time to hear about the first hardware it is available in.
