Despite the controversy raised by its new CEO Elon Musk, Twitter began rolling out $8 verified account subscription service to users.
To date, users Twitter for iOS now you can subscribe to this new model included in the already known Twitter Blue. This version is still a beta version and is expected to be released worldwide and for all devices.
What This $8 Twitter Subscription Model Gets
Now people who subscribe to Twitter Blue for paying $8, they’ll get a verification mark, “just like the celebrities, companies, and politicians you already follow.”
The launch is somewhat uneven, as many verified users who paid for it still don’t see the famous blue check mark on their accounts.
“The new Blue isn’t out yet — the sprint to our launch is ongoing, but some people may see us making updates because we’re testing and making changes in real time,” said Esther Crawford, the company’s product manager.
Users with the new update will now also be able to see exclusive notifications from verified users on their profile.
