It’s a new discovery that could mean a groundbreaking treatment for hair loss.

Japanese scientists for the first time in the world were able to grow hair follicles in the laboratory. The discovery was made by researchers from Japan’s Yokohama National University. Futurism writes about it.

The experiment was to better understand the interaction between connective tissue and skin cells that leads to hair growth. So the Japanese team grew small, simple versions of the organs known as organelles.

“If you think of a hair follicle, it has hair in the middle and then layers of epithelial cells around the follicle and other specialized cells,” says Queen Mary University medical expert Kairban Hodywala- Dilke.

In addition, the scientists created a gel that mimics the body’s natural environment by allowing epithelial cells to climb around and on each other.

“The hair follicles grew up to three millimeters within a month. Now our team is working on repeating the experiment in human skin cells,” the scientists said.

Remember that the problem of hair loss can be related to a genetic predisposition, as well as external factors such as stress, hormonal imbalance and vitamin deficiency, the key of which is D and B12.
