The American company SpaceX has successfully launched the Falcon 9 launch vehicle, launching 52 Starlink satellites into orbit. About this company reported on the evening of Sunday, September 25th.

The launch was carried out on Saturday at 19:32 US East Coast time (Sunday 02:32 Kyiv time – ed.) from the 40th launch complex at the Cape Canaveral Cosmodrome in Florida. This became the 62nd launch of a group of Internet satellites into orbit since May 2019 as part of the Starlink project.

“The launch of 52 Starlink satellites into orbit has been confirmed,” the company said in a statement.

The first reusable stage of the launch vehicle made a controlled vertical landing on the floating drone platform A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean, located about 600 kilometers from the spaceport.

SpaceX has launched more than 3,300 Starlink Internet satellites. Some of them failed or went out of orbit. But more than 3,000 devices operate in orbit.

In the future, SpaceX plans to deploy an orbital constellation of 12,000 spacecraft of this type (and then 30,000) to create a full-scale network. It will provide the inhabitants of the Earth with broadband Internet access to any corner of the planet. The project is estimated at $10 billion.

Earlier in September, it became known that Starlink Internet has become available on all continents, including Antarctica.
