Metinvest provided another 300 drones upfront

In total, as part of Akhmetov’s Steel Front initiative, the defenders of Ukraine received 800 drones.

Rinat Akhmetov’s Metinvest company, as part of the Steel Front initiative, provided another 300 drones worth more than $1.4 million to the Ground Forces and intelligence officers of the GUR.

“The drones are equipped with thermal imagers and optical zoom, which make it possible to track enemy equipment and forces even at night. They have additional batteries, can fly 10 km and stay in the air for about 40 minutes,” the report said. .

In general, Metinvest has already delivered more than 800 drones to the defenders of Ukraine. This is the largest batch of UAVs provided to the Ukrainian Armed Forces under a single initiative.

As part of the Steel Front military initiative, Metinvest’s metallurgical enterprises partially shifted production to a military footing. A separate production line is intended for the production of body armor, armor plates for equipment, metal fortifications and dugouts.

In particular, 10 special residences have been provided to the military. In total, it is planned to make 20 such structures per month.
