The data obtained by the telescope will help scientists predict solar storms and prepare for them.
The Inouye telescope on the island of Maui took detailed pictures of the sun. This was reported by Science Alert.
So in the pictures you can see bright hairs of hot plasma, they flow into the crown from a hole that resembles a honeycomb. These explosive patches are known as grains, and each is about 1,600 kilometers in diameter.
At the same time, the images show that the Sun’s chromosphere, located under the corona, is normally invisible, and can only be seen during a total solar eclipse, when it creates a red rim around the hidden star. However, modern technology has solved this problem. The Inouye telescope is able to “see” details in the Sun’s chromosphere the size of Manhattan Island.
At the same time, the chromosphere does not have a clear smooth surface, because hot emissions constantly occur from it.

It was previously reported that scientists from the NASA Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded a surprising magnetized spot on the Sun.
