Confrontation

Zatko’s revelations filed with the SEC contained numerous allegations of lax security procedures and intentionally misleading practices. Among the claims made in the documents, Zatko claims that Twitter deliberately downplayed the level of bot activity on the platform, which Musk cited as the main reason for trying to back out of a deal to buy the company.

CEO twitter, Parag Agrawal disputed Zatko’s claims, calling them a “false narrative” in an email sent to employees and statements sent to the media.

Meanwhile, Senate and House committee leaders investigate Zatko’s claims. The whistleblower is due to appear at a Judiciary Committee hearing five days after his statement in Musk v. USA. Twitter.
