NASA has entered into an agreement with SpaceX to purchase five flights to transport astronauts to and from the ISS.
SpaceX has signed a $1.4 billion deal with NASA for five additional astronaut flights to the International Space Station. Space.com reported it.
The deal, which will use Crew Dragon spacecraft and SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rockets, allows continued US access to the space station until 2030.
SpaceX’s Crew-5 is expected to launch in early October, and Crew-4 will be on the space station.
NASA signed its first $2.6 billion contract with SpaceX in 2014.
It was previously reported that SpaceX intends to conduct 100 launches of its spacecraft into low Earth orbit by 2023.
