Almost all French Xiaomi stores suddenly closed their doors this Wednesday, August 24, reports Phonandroid. Contrary to the message spread by an employee on Facebook, the Chinese manufacturer does not stop its activities on the territory of France.
In fact, it’s the Mi Store manager, Tell Me, that’s missing. The company was dissolved by the Court of Justice of Crete. Therefore, it can no longer manage the group’s sales outlets that arrived in France in 2018. Only one store has not closed its doors, the Champs-Élysées. The store is not operated by Tell Me.
In a press release, Xiaomi states that it is working to restart “quickly” his normal activity. The company needs to find a new management company that will handle the points of sale. During this outage, buyers will have to turn to online outlets or resellers such as phone carriers.
