The skeleton is relatively well preserved, despite the fact that he died about 5,700 years ago. The cause of death is still unknown.
In Malaysia in 2017, a “Penang woman” was found who died at the age of about 40 years at the end of the stone age. Now scientists have recreated his face, writes the Daily Mail.
Brazilian graphics expert Cicero Moraes and a team of scientists from Universiti Sains Malaysia used digital technology to achieve this. Forensic experts examined the skull to determine whether it was male or female, and then began to determine age and origin.
“The process has a certain level of complexity, but certainly the digital approach we use is simpler and more accessible than the classical form based on hand sculpture,” said the scientists.
