Archaeologists discovered an image of a trident of the son of Kyiv prince Vladimir – Izyaslav. This is a very rare find.
During excavations in the Minsk region, a unique artifact was found – an image of a trident from the times of Ukraine-Rus. Gleb Lobadzenko, the founder of the Old Minsk Museum, announced this discovery on Facebook.
“A sensation in the excavations in Old Minsk – a bottom pot with the personal coat of arms of Prince Izyaslav was found – this is the end of the 10th – beginning of the 11th century. There are no analogues, this is the first ( !) Such a find in Belarus! What does it mean – a little more in the archaeologist’s comments. And now I urgently invite you to the Old Minsk Museum – in the coming days, the find will be shown to tourists for inspection! ” – wrote Lobadzenko.
Archaeologist Andrei Voitekhovich, Candidate of Historical Sciences, noted that a trident is depicted on the found bottom of the pot. This is the family sign of Prince Izyaslav (son of Kyiv prince Vladimir Svyatoslavich and Rognida).
