As a result of abnormal heat, the village emerged from the depths of the reservoir, where it was flooded almost seven decades ago.
In the UK, a flooded village, which spent 70 years under water, again “floats” on the surface. This is the result of abnormal heat. This was reported by The Sun.
The village of Bytings was flooded during the construction of the Baitings Reservoir in the 1950s. But now part of the village is visible, including the ancient bridge that was used to carry horse-drawn carts.
Due to the increase in air temperature, the water level in the reservoir, which was built in 1956, has dropped significantly. Meteorological services warned that temperatures could reach 35 degrees Celsius, so an urgent warning was issued for the most vulnerable citizens.
The reservoir, also known as Bytings Dam, connects the counties of Yorkshire and Lancashire. And although the modern structure was built on the site of a bridge for pack horses, both are now visible due to falling water levels.
As for history, in 1989, during a drought, the body of a man with a gunshot wound to the head was found at the bottom of the reservoir. He has been identified as Lawrence Winstanley, 23, who was last seen leaving a pub in Oldham last year.
The body was only noticed because the water level dropped 12 meters below normal. The murder was never solved.

The day
It was previously reported that in the excavations of the ancient city of Daskileon in Turkey, a water supply system dating back to about 2.5 thousand years was discovered.
In Spain, the bones of the face of the first inhabitant of Europe were found
