Disney Plus announced an increase in the monthly fee for its US platform from $8 to $11.
This change is due to the introduction of a new plan with advertising, which will be at the current price of the service.
Everything goes up, nothing goes down
Let’s start with a new subscription level. For $7.99 per month (the same as currently being paid for an ad-free service), users will be able to watch their favorite series on Disney+, And now with ads.
Because of this new revenue, the standard ad-free version will go up to $10.99 per month, the biggest price increase since November 2019.
Both changes will begin on December 8 in the US.
There will also be changes in their packages, now services with ads: Disney+ with Hulu will cost $10, and the duo plus ESPN+ will cost $13.
