Bloggers fell tightly into views – Analysts associate traffic collapse with a new platform policy related to advertising applications.
Since the middle of -August, many who set on YouTube have reported a reduction in the views -in some cases the number of views has been almost double, according to 9to5google. Although there is no official confirmation from the company, Google’s analysts and indirect statements indicate: the reason may be in advertising blockers.
British YouTuber Josh Groof Hayes noted that views from TVs, smartphones and tablets remained stable, while from computers – they were reduced by almost 50%. A similar trend was recorded by the technological channel that was linked.
Google says “viewers who use advertising locks and other content restriction tools can affect the accuracy of the viewing calculation.” At the same time, the channels, in which part of such an audience are high, especially feel a change in traffic during the update of such extensions.
The company denied versions of the influence of new tools for age -analysis based on artificial intelligence.
Despite the downfall of views, advertising revenues have not changed. This may mean that views from computers where locks are most common, the system is not just considered. Such a conclusion is in accordance with YouTube’s official statement about the “influence of locks on the accuracy of statistics.”
