Samsung announced a “repair mode” to hide photos and videos on your mobile phones when they are delivered to a technician.
The tool, for now, reaches mobile phones Galaxy S21 and will start working in South Korea.
How does Samsung’s “recovery mode” work?
In accordance with SamMobilethis mode can be activated in Settings, in the Battery and Device Care category.
When activated, the system will hide personal information, photos, messages, and associated accounts, so the technician will only be able to see apps that are pre-installed on the device.
To regain access to their data, the user simply needs to turn off recovery mode and use fingerprint or pattern recognition to authenticate their identity.

It will cover more models
Samsung He also indicated that although his first tests are limited, the number of models and regions will be increased in the future.
Users are always worried that their personal data may be stolen or stolen from smartphones when they send them in for repair. This mode has come to “provide peace of mind,” the company claims, at least for users of the Galaxy range.
