The effectiveness of vaccines against the coronavirus disease fades over time, experts emphasize.
Even if a person develops COVID-19 after two doses of the vaccine, they should receive a booster dose of the vaccine. This was announced on Monday, August 1, by the Ministry of Health.
“We want to remind you separately that the vaccine protects against the severe course and death as a result of the coronavirus,” experts said.

They noted that the effectiveness of vaccines against the coronavirus disease fades over time.
“New strains of the virus are also emerging. A booster dose helps restore vaccine effectiveness and prolong protection against severe disease and death from COVID-19,” the agency said.
The Ministry of Health also emphasized that it is especially advisable to take care of getting a booster for people from risk groups.
“These are elderly people, people with cardiovascular, pulmonary disease, as well as cancer and diabetes. They are the ones who can have a severe flood course, end up in the hospital and die from it,” the report said.
Recall that the United States of America transferred almost 500,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine to Ukraine.
