Attacks took advantage of the bug to delete the materials of an independent journalist without hacking sites.
In the Google search engine, a critical weakness was found, which allowed anyone to exclude a link to any publication from search results for any publication -even without accessing the sites where they were posted. According to Techspot, they made the mistake of removing independent journalist Jack Polson from the release of an article.
Jack Jack Pirson, who in 2021 wrote about arresting the CEO of Premise Data Delawin Maurice Blackman, noted that his articles were completely lost from the search – even with an accurate name request in quotes. The investigation of the incident was involved with the Deputy Director of the Audience in the Independence of Press Foundation Ahmed Zidan.
Google’s tool to update obsolete links, as it has been, is sensitive to manipulations. In particular, the attack has repeatedly sent requests for removal of URL addresses, simply changing the register of letters to them -for example, using capital letters instead of lowercase letters. The system noticed by addresses such as not -unintentionally, as the page returned the 404 error, and automatically excluded the corresponding materials from the index, even though the original pages remained available.
Google confirms the availability of weakness, but did not specify how many requests for removal were submitted. Experts believe that such a technique can use reputation agencies or technically savvy that acts on customers’ interest in “cleaning” the search results from unwanted materials under maintenance.
Keep in mind that it was previously reported that the iPhone had found a bug dictation replacing the word racist with Trump.
