In Jordan, archaeologists discovered a unique tomb under the famous El Hazera temple – one of Peter’s most popular views.
In Peter, one of the seven new phenomenon in the world, archaeologists made a funny discovery -under the structure of the El Haze cult (the so -called Treasury of Pharaoh), they found a tomb with twelve -two skeletons of human. The mirror reported it.
Excavations at this site began last year, when the executive director of the American Research Center at Jordan Pier paired Paul Chrisman with a team that found 12 outlines under the temple. It has recently been found that these are not single lips – in fact, an entire grave is hidden under El Hamper.
“This is a very rare discovery. For two centuries, where archaeologists have not been explored before Peter has found anything like this. Even near one of the most popular buildings in the world you can still make a huge discovery,” said the Discovery Channel Josh Gates host, who personally reached the site of excavation.
The found was found using modern land analysis technologies. They allowed not only to confirm the location of the grave, but also to identify potential new funerals nearby.
According to Chrisman, artifacts survived perfectly, while the outlines themselves are in the worst state. The cause is high humidity and contemporary flooding characteristic of this region.
Archaeologists believe that discovery can change the idea of Petra’s history and how sacred spaces around El Hamper were used.
