The browser will be created on the same basis of Google Chrome, but instead of switching to sites, the data will be processed in the interface similar to ChatGPT.
The ChatGPT developer company plans to launch its own browser in the coming weeks, which should be a competitor for Google Chrome. Reuters reported that there was a reference to three resources familiar with the company’s plans.
The new product aims to change the essence of Internet use – instead of the usual transition to sites, the browser can process the user’s requests directly to the interface, as in Chatgpt. According to resources, such a model will allow Openai to obtain a direct access to user data – an important Google advertising business component.
The browser is expected to include Openai tools, such as personal agents that may be able to unite to perform actions -from booking the table to filling forms on sites.
The browser was created based on Chromium, an open project, where Chrome, Edge and Opera were also built. In 2023, Openai had already rented two former Google vice presidents to stand in the Chrome source.
In April, the head of Openai said the company would be interested in obtaining Chrome if antimonopoly authorities would force Google to sell this product.
We will remind you, earlier it was reported that Openai introduced the strongest model of artificial intelligence.
