Archaeologists discovered a sealed camera with dishes, jewelry and ritual artifacts in San Juliano Necropolis.
In central Italy, near the town of Barbarano Roman, archaeologists found a very good timely Etruscan tomb, which has not opened for more than 2700 years. According to Armeonews, the funeral dated to the end of the 7th century BC is referred to as the final stage of the Orienting period – the main stage of Etruscan culture development.
The tomb, carved on a stone and sealed with a heavy stone slab, remained unchanged by shining, which is a rarity for the necropolis of San Juliano. After the opening of the camera, the researchers found twelve -two ceramic vessels in a characteristic geometric style, as well as copper jewelry and ritual pelvis at one of the funeral funerals. Some items can be found in a special sequel, indicating a ceremony before the final sealing of the grave.
“This is a rare found, because most of the more than 500 tombs in this area are seized in antique or modernity,” said Dr. Barbara Barbara from the Department of Archaeology of Italy. He emphasized that Find allows you to study Etruscan society in true form.
Excavations are carried out as part of an international international project, chaired by Dr. David Zori from the University of Beilor (USA), along with the participation of local bodies and Italy funding Italy.
In the coming weeks, researchers plan to study the remains to determine the age, gender and social status of the deceased in the grave.
We reminded, earlier reported that in Italy they discovered the main grave of the 7th century BC.
