China launched the Lijian-1 rocket for the first time

The four-stage Lijian-1 launch vehicle can launch a payload of about 1,500 kg into a sun-synchronous orbit.

China launched the Lijian-1 launch vehicle for the first time, launching six satellites into orbit. Xinhua reported this on Wednesday, July 27.

The launch was carried out at 12:12 Beijing time (07:12 Kyiv time) from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome in the north of the country.

It is known that the experimental spacecraft put into orbit will be used to observe the Earth’s atmosphere and test electromagnetic devices.

The Lijian-1 four-stage launch vehicle is China’s largest solid-propellant rocket. It is capable of launching a payload of about 1,500 kg into a sun-synchronous orbit with an altitude of 500 kilometers.

Remember, on July 24, China launched a rocket with a module for the space station. The weight of the Wentian module is about 20 tons. Length – about 18 meters. It will be used as a laboratory for biological research.

The next day, the Chinese module docked with the space station in orbit.
