NVIDIA has officially introduced the GeForce RTX 5050 – a desktop video card, which will be the cheapest in the Blackwell line (RTX 5000). Along with the desktop version, they also displayed a mobile, which appears on gaming laptops.
The novelty is to use a graphic processor, with 2560 CUDA nuclei, 20 RT-Nuclear cores for tracking rays, 80 texture blocks and 80 tensor nuclei. The company does not indicate the number of ROP blocks. The main frequency of GPU is 2.31 GHz, and the boost -Frequency is 2.57 GHz.
This is the only video card in the Blackwell family that does not use GDDR7 memory. The video memory capacity is 320 GB/s.
The card is equipped with three displayport 2.1B and an HDMI 2.1B. For comparison, the most budget competitor AMD – Radeon RX 9060 has only two displayport 2.1A and an HDMI 2.1B.
For statistics, freshness was compared to RTX 3050, as the desktop RTX 4050 NVIDIA did not work. The video card shows productivity up to four times higher than the model of two generations ago. However, as with the announcements of senior line maps, to collect NVIDIA statistics, II-function simply inaccessible to old analogues, so it is difficult to evaluate the true increase of “pure” power before independent trials.

The recommended price of the RTX 5050 is $ 249, however, the Nvidia’s reference version will not be offered – cards will be made exclusively by company partners. Laptops with a mobile video card cost about $ 900.
The exact start date for sales was not announced, but the launch of the product was announced in the second half of July.
