Part of traffic from mobile devices grows eight months in succession. Most mobile traffic is provided by Android devices.
Part of smartphones in global internet traffic reaches 64.1%. According to techgaged, this is the eighth quarter of growth in a row and the fully recorded maximum is another evidence that web surfing is increasingly moving from computers to the user’s pockets.
Mobile traffic continues to grow from the second half of 2023. The reasons are high -speed 5G network, convenient mobile sites and a generation that literally does not release a smartphone from the hands. Starting from the third quarter 2023, the mobile traffic component grew only – such a long dynamics was last observed in 2016.

The highest part of mobile traffic was recorded in Asia – 71.3%, which is 7% higher than the average world. Users are especially active in China, India, South Korea and Indonesia. At the same time, in North America and Europe, mobile traffic is about 50%.
The lion component of mobile traffic is provided by Android devices – 72.7% in the results of May 2025, 2.7 times more than iOS (26.9%).
Note that back in 2018, smartphones temporarily lose their speed, providing only 47% of traffic. But since 2023, mobile devices have finally blocked the initiative. If the trend is preserved, in the near future the part of desktops on the global internet can fall to a minimum of historical.
