The new phenomena are called intense nuclear transients – they are brighter and longer than all previously known explosions of stars.
Astronomers have recorded a new type of super -powerful space explosions – extreme nuclear transients (ENT), which became the strongest recorded after a large explosion. According to space, these phenomenon appeared when the stars, at least three times more large than the sun, were torn under the influence of ultra -massive black holes in the centers of remote galaxies.
“For more than a decade, we have been observing how black holes have broken the stars due to water disturbances, but they are completely diverse animals. Their brightness is almost ten times higher than all we saw before,” said Jason Hinkle from the Institute of Astronomy of the University of Hawaii, leading the study.
Hinkle discovered these unusual phenomena in analyzing long -term light outbreaks derived from galaxy centers. He noted the two revolts recorded by the Gaia Spacecraft in 2016 and 2018, as well as a similar outbreak of 2020, discovered by the Zwicky Transient Facility Observatory.
Unlike ordinary supernova or Tidal events, they have not only have greater energy, but have also been apparent in recent years. One of these explosions, called the GAIA18CDJ, has graduated 25 times more energy than the strongest supernova in history -over 100 days throughout their existence.
In addition to their unique brightness, ENT can provide scientists with new knowledge about Ultra -massive Black Hole in distant galaxies. Thanks to their power, they can be seen at remote distances, giving you to observe processes in the universe, if it is only half of the current age.
The study has been published in the Journal Science Advances.
We remind you, earlier it was reported that scientists had found a black hole that absorbed the object at the speed of superhumine.
