Twitter is another failure. According to the website Downdetector, thousands of users have reported that the social network has been down since the afternoon of Thursday, July 14. As of 2:16 p.m., more than 11,000 people have been registered in France and more than 27,000 in the US.
Internet users in other countries, including the United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil and Italy, also reported that Twitter was not working. The reason for the failure has not yet been revealed by the group.
Service appears to have gradually resumed half an hour after the outage began, with netizens taking the opportunity to subtly mock the network. “I just had the most productive 30 minutes in years. And if not, it looks like Twitter went down for 30 minutes“Wrote @joelyagar on the platform. Outages regularly disrupt digital platforms, with long service interruptions being the exception.
The technical difficulty comes at a sensitive time for the group, which was embroiled in a legal battle with Elon Musk this week. Twitter wants to force the multibillionaire to honor the agreement he signed in April when he announced his intention to buy the platform for $44 billion before pulling out last week.
