In August, the TUMnanoSAT spacecraft will go into its final orbit. After that, Moldovan scientists can begin space exploration.

In Moldova, the TUMnanoSAT satellite was launched into space on the night of July 15 and delivered by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket to the International Space Station. This was announced on the Facebook of the US Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA.

“There, our international partners will launch it into its final orbit to help Moldovan scientists explore space,” the statement said.

The university that built this satellite is said to be the 25th commercial launch mission to the ISS, operated by SpaceX. As part of the final flight, Japan Aerospace Agency (JAXA) launch capsule JSSOD, which also contains the TUMnanoSAT satellite, was delivered to the ISS.

Astronauts will place it in orbit in space with the help of a robotic arm. This operation is scheduled for the first half of August.

Recall that the first successful launch of the new European launch vehicle Vega-C took place at the Kourou cosmodrome in French Guiana.
