Quantonation succeeded in its bet. As a pioneer since 2018, the first venture fund dedicated to quantum technologies has completed its funding of 91 million euros, doubling its initial ambitions. “Since 2018, there has been a big leap in quantum technology. We started at the right time of the wave.” exults Charles Beigbeder, one of the four co-founders of Quantonation.
A major player in the French quant ecosystem, the fund currently has nineteen companies in its portfolio, including many of the most promising sectors in the sector: Pasqal, Quandela, Qubit Pharmaceuticals, CryptoNext Security… Located in Paris and Boston, it invests in young startups worldwide. “We want to make it easier to leave the labs. There are great projects, great technology and science, but we need to find more entrepreneurs.” asserts Christoph Yurchak, PhD, quantum physicist and co-founder.
