With Morpho, these French students lured US giant Andreessen Horowitz’s crypto fund

At just 21 years old, Paul Frabot is experiencing one of the most intense years of his young history. In his third year of studies at Télécom Paris-Polytechnique, the co-founder of Morpho completed an $18 million fundraiser jointly led by the prestigious American Andreessen Horowitz (a16z crypto) fund and the Variant fund. In total, a hundred investors participated in the round, including Coinbase Ventures and French funds such as Alven or XAnge. Privately, the valuation is “significant,” according to the founding team, an order of magnitude typically reserved for much later funding rounds.
