Astro Bot is named game of the year at The Game Awards 2024

During the “The Game Awards 2024” awards ceremony, held last Thursday night, the 12th, “Astro Bot” was the big winner in the main category of the event, “Game of the Year”, in addition to also winning “Best Direction” , “Best Action and Adventure Game” and “Best Family Game”.

Launched in 2018, the game that pays homage to the three decades of PlayStation, brings nostalgia to fans, placing them in the vision of a little robot called Astro who suffered a space accident and had his mothership, which has the shape of the Sony video game console , destroyed. During the game’s plot, the main character passes through planets and universes full of references to other classic PlayStation games.

According to Metacritic, ‘Astro Bot’ was one of the best-rated games this year by critics, with 94/100 approval, and by fans with 9.2/10. Other games that were also highlighted are “Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth”, “Metaphor”, “Balastro” and “League Of Legends”.
