Science has unveiled a device that fills with water, measures biometric data and provides a “wash and dry” effect for a person.
The Japanese company Science has developed a revolutionary device called Mirai Ningen Sentakuki, which translates as a washing machine for people in the future.
This cabin, with a built-in seat, fills with water to promote relaxation while simultaneously measuring the user’s heart rate and other biometrics.
The innovative device, according to the company, is designed to provide a unique relaxation experience. The cabin automatically controls the water temperature based on sensor data and also projects an image inside the transparent cover to create a pleasant environment.
The device will be presented at an exhibition in Osaka in April this year. Visitors can experience a 15-minute session at the booth by reserving a time slot in advance. However, as Techcrunch notes, the device is viewed more as a concept and may not reach mass production.
The company is also working on creating a version for home use, allowing people to enjoy the technology in a private setting.
Science hopes that their invention will be part of future trends in personal comfort and health care.
It was previously reported that the MAiRA Pro S robotic arm conducted the Dresden Symphony Orchestra for the first time.
