Prada and Axiom Space have unveiled new spacesuits for the Moon mission, combining style with high-tech innovation.
Fashion house Prada, in collaboration with space company Axiom Space, has created a new design of spacesuits that will be used by astronauts during NASA’s Artemis III mission to the Moon in 2026.
The presentation took place on October 16 at the International Astronautical Congress in Milan. CNN reported it.
The new astronaut suits are white with gray detailing on the elbows and knees, as well as red accent lines inspired by the Prada Linea Rossa style.
Spacesuits provide better mobility, protection from high temperatures and lunar dust, and special shoes will allow astronauts to spend up to 8 hours in space every day.
Prada used its expertise in fabrics and tailoring techniques to combine function and style, presentation officials said.

It was previously reported that American researchers have developed a spacesuit that can turn urine into drinking water.
