Many anti-Ukrainian books were found in Uzhgorod, Zhitomir, Nikolaev and Kyiv on the territory of one of the networks of church stores of the UOC MP.
Law enforcement officials blocked the distribution channel of anti-Ukrainian literature by a network of UOC-MP church shops. Among the seizures were pro-Russian publications that promoted religious intolerance and justified Russia’s war against Ukraine. The SBU reported this on June 4.
It was noted that batches of copies were found in Uzhgorod, Zhitomir, Nikolaev and Kyiv on the territory of one of the networks of church stores of the UOC MP. The owners of these shops ordered propaganda literature in bulk from the Ternopil regional printing house.
A forensic linguistic examination confirmed that the copies found justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and contained calls for interfaith hostility and religious intolerance.
Based on the evidence gathered, the owner of one of the shops is under suspicion (importing, producing or distributing works promoting the cult of violence and cruelty, intolerance and racial, national or religious discrimination).
The investigation continues to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring to justice all persons involved in subversive activities against Ukraine.
Let’s remember that the suspicion was revealed against the cleric who repainted the entrance to Kherson in “tricolor”. The UOC-MP priest was one of the first to cooperate with the enemy.
