This is the third postponement of the launch of the spacecraft that NASA and Boeing are trying to launch. The reason for the cancellation has not yet been announced.
In the United States, a few minutes before the launch, the first launch of the Starliner spacecraft with astronauts on board was canceled. It is scheduled to lift off from the Cape Canaveral space station on Saturday afternoon, June 1, The Hill reports.
The launch was reportedly delayed with 3 minutes and 50 seconds left in the countdown.
It is not yet known what caused the delay. It should be clarified by NASA and Boeing and ULA teams participating in the launch, the space agency reported.
NASA astronauts Sunita Williams, 58, and Barry Wilmore, 61, were aboard the Starliner.
The Starliner mission was scheduled to lift off on May 6 but was delayed by a valve problem, delaying the historic liftoff. On May 14, the mission was again delayed, this time due to a propellant leak and additional testing.
If completed successfully, the Starline test flight will bring Boeing closer to regular flights to and from the International Space Station. It was planned that astronauts should participate, in particular, in research on the physiological effects of space flight on humans. They should fly to the International Space Station in about 26 hours, and stay there for about a week.
Boeing has several reserve launch dates: June 2, 5 and 6. But the company has not confirmed whether it will launch again on Sunday. It depends on data analysis to determine what caused Saturday’s loss.
It was earlier reported that China launched a new space rocket that launched four satellites into low-Earth orbit.
