The vaccine is positioned as effective not only against known strains, but also against new ones unknown to mankind.

A group of British and American scientists have developed a universal vaccine against all strains of the coronavirus. The Guardian writes about this on Monday, May 6.

It is indicated that the vaccine was obtained in collaboration with scientists from the universities of Cambridge and Oxford and the California Institute of Technology.

“This is done by attaching harmless proteins from different coronaviruses to small nanoparticles that are injected into the body to prepare its defenses to fight the viruses” The vaccine “trains” the immune system to recognize and attack proteins common to many types of coronavirus it is effective not only against known strains, but also against new ones unknown to mankind,” explained the scientists.

According to them, the purpose of this development is to “create a contraction before the pandemic even begins.”

The injection test in mice was positive. If the new drug works for humans, it will be used as a booster dose against COVID-19.

An existing agreement between member states of the World Health Organization (WHO) to combat pandemics is about to expire.

More than 12 million Ukrainians did not complete the recommended course of vaccination against the coronavirus, skipping a booster shot.
