The wind farm was built by the Danish Orsted and the American Eversource Energy and has 12 wind generators from the German Siemens Gamesa with a total capacity of 132 MW, which is enough to supply electricity to more than 70 thousand families.

Gov said Kathy Hochul said Thursday that the plant began producing clean energy for the Long Island power grid, 35 miles (56 kilometers) away.
