In three regions of Ukraine – Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Sumy – they started using artificial intelligence to diagnose tuberculosis. This was reported on Friday, February 16, by the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
It is reported that modern equipment has been installed and is being used by medical workers trained in the use of TV diagnostic systems on patients. Artificial intelligence performs automatic analysis by reading X-ray images and reflects areas of potential pathology in the form of a heat map of the lungs.
DSP said more than 40 countries around the world use artificial intelligence to process diagnostic data.
“At the current stage, Ukraine is classified as a group of countries with a high level of tuberculosis. According to experts, a full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine could lead to the worsening of the TB situation,” said of the message.
