Man plays guitar during brain surgery

He used a specific skill – playing the guitar – as a real-time marker during the operation.

A strange operation took place in Miami. This was reported by UPI.

Professional guitarist Christian Nolen became an active participant in the operation by playing his guitar.

This unusual technique was used in a complex operation to remove a glioma, a type of brain tumor, from the man’s right frontal lobe.

Nolen’s choice to play guitar wasn’t just for fun. The tumor was located in the part of the brain responsible for controlling the movement of his left arm.

To ensure surgeons could remove as much of the tumor as possible without impairing Nolen’s ability to play, they took a unique approach.

It will be remembered that General Hospital star John Jay York started the process of blood stem cell transplantation.

A resident of Lviv was diagnosed with four unrelated types of cancer
