Fireworks in space took place on New Year’s Eve

This often happens when a white dwarf and a large star – usually a red giant – start orbiting opposite each other. Together they form a binary star system.

NASA demonstrated the classical nova phenomenon. It is also called a mass flash. The frame was published on Instagram by the agency.

The phenomenon is caused by a thermonuclear explosion on the surface of a white dwarf star, which resembles fireworks.

“A burst-like flash is visible against the background of black space. A spiky orange ray emanates from the bright white center of the flash. A faint blue cloud fills most of the supernova, and a purple spray borders the lower right edge of the flash. ,” the caption reads.

We remind you that NASA will bring the first non-American to the Moon.
