In third place in terms of height is Mount Chimborazo in the Andes in Ecuador. It is an inactive volcano with a peak of 6,310 meters above sea level.
However, since it is located one degree south of the equator, that is, closer than any other mountain, it can be considered that its peak is located closest to the Sun.
