Hepatitis of unknown origin is registered in the world, the number of cases is rising. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

It was reported that, as of May 17, there were 522 cases of chronic hepatitis of unknown origin in the world. The causes of the disease have not been studied.

The Ministry of Health asks not to panic, as hepatitis is now treatable, but if signs of liver damage appear, they are urged to seek help from a doctor.

It was previously reported that the first 200 cases of a mysterious outbreak of acute hepatitis in children have been registered in the world.
