The tests were postponed due to problems with the pressure valve, which was allegedly “frozen”, explained Elon Musk.
Elon Musk’s SpaceX has canceled a test launch of its super-heavy Starship rocket from a site in Boca Chica, Texas, with just 40 seconds left before launch. The company announced this on Twitter on Monday, April 17th.
“Abandoning the test flight today; the team is working on the next available opportunity,” SpaceX said in a statement.
In turn, Musk clarified Twitterthat the tests were postponed due to problems with the pressure valve, which was allegedly “frozen”.
“It looks like the pressure valve is frozen, so if it doesn’t work soon, no launch today. Today we learned a lot of new things, now we are reducing fuel, we will try again in a few days,” he wrote.
SpaceX is building reusable Starship spacecraft for deep space missions, including to the Moon and Mars. It is higher than all the rockets created in the world: the height reaches 120 meters. The rocket system consists of two parts: a Super Heavy launch vehicle with 33 engines and a Starship. Both components are designed for reuse.
