whatsapp is working on a feature that gives users the ability to save and edit a contact from the app without requiring the app to redirect to the address book.
To save a phone number as a contact, the app introduces an “Add Contact” option – new or existing – in each user’s profile.
Regardless of which of the two is selected, the app redirects to the contact list when you want to save it and offers the option to save that phone number either on the device itself, on the inserted SIM card, or as linked to a Gmail account.

everything is easier
Now the company is working on a new format that will allow users to add contacts to these sections without leaving the application itself, as we have seen. WABetaInformation in the latest beta version for Android.
The screenshot provided by this portal shows that users will no longer be forced to switch between applications and that pressing “New Contact” expands the interface in the format whatsapp in which these phones can be added.
WABetaInfo also pointed out that in addition to saving contacts, the feature allows users to edit their information such as a phone number or name.
This functionality is currently available for testers of the latest beta whatsapp for Android, and it is not known whether he will finally get to devices with the iOS operating system. (Europe Press)
